How is Colibra Jewelry Made?

01 DESIGN

Polish Colibra jewelry is highly regarded for its wide range, variety of designs, and high-quality craftsmanship. Each collection starts with designs inspired by contemporary trends, major fashion shows, and art history. We offer thousands of designs. Not only do we create Colibra jewelry, but we also make custom collections for fashion brands, public figures, and celebrities popular on social media. We also offer the production of promotional items, business gifts with logos, souvenirs, and trophies.

02 PROTOTYPE

Did you know that Colibra’s first products were made back in 1978? We still handcraft our jewelry in our workshop in Pruszków. Customers and visitors who have had the opportunity to see the production process live are always amazed by the unique retro atmosphere in our headquarters.

Once the design is ready, it’s time to create a prototype. We use one of three techniques depending on the project: sculpting, laser cutting, or 3D printing.

03 MOLDING AND CASTING

The casting molds are handmade to perfectly replicate every detail of the prototype. The completed mold is sent to the foundry, where the elements needed for jewelry production are created. We have about 2,000 molds in storage, each with its own catalog number.

04 GRINDING

Our products are unique not only because of the highest quality materials but also due to the precision of handcrafting. During the grinding process, the elements are smoothed and acquire a shine.

05 POLISHING

To ensure that the jewelry surface is perfectly smooth and shiny, it is placed in a tumbler with a ceramic medium. Thanks to this process, the jewelry achieves excellent quality and a beautiful appearance in every detail.

06 ELECTROPLATING

How is jewelry coated with 24-karat gold or silver? This process is called electroplating, and it involves depositing metal from a water-based solution using an electric current. This is a task that requires extensive knowledge, experience, and precision. The electrochemical and chemical reactions must be carefully conducted to ensure that the deposited layers maintain durability and a beautiful appearance for years. The electroplating process lasts from 1 to 3 hours depending on the type and size of the products.

COATING CARE: Remember to take proper care of your jewelry. Store each product in a separate case lined with soft fabric. Do not mix jewelry, especially if it is made of different precious or non-precious metals. Avoid rubbing or polishing the jewelry to prevent damage to the coating. Do not apply perfumes or other cosmetics directly before or after putting on jewelry, particularly products containing alcohol.

07 ASSEMBLY

The assembly department is where the magic happens. Our team manually gives the elements their final shape, attaches chains, mounts pendants, and prepares semi-finished products for gold plating. The extensive experience, precision, and exceptional manual skills of our workers make Colibra jewelry truly special.

In marked drawers, thousands of finished products await to be shipped to your homes the day after an order is placed. Some designs are made to order, with production times ranging from 1 to 10 business days. In our online store, these products are marked with a red star.
